Hammes, Frances T. "Francesca" (Nee Torre ) Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, age 93 years. Wife of the late Peter Brusturis and the late Donald Hammes. Loving sister of Angelo (the late Rosella) Torre, Helen (Jack) Janz and Gloria (David) Rosenberg. Preceded in death by her brothers and their wives, Peter (Sadie), Thomas (Maxine) and Carl Torre; also her sisters and their husbands, Rose (George) Wildermuth, Theresa (Henry) Jesion. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Frances was formerly active with the Italian Community Center, the Catholic Knights and the Milazzesi Society. She along with her family were the former owners of Francesca's Restaurant on Oakland and Locust from 1956-1975. Visitation on Thursday, May 8, 2014, 10:00 AM-12 noon at DIVINE MERCY PARISH, College Ave. Site, 695 College Ave., South Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment on Friday, May 9, 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, please meet at cemetery office. If desired, memorials to Lad Lake for at-risk youth in Milwaukee or to the meal program at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
