Dad, I love you and miss being able to pick up the phone and call you or hop on a airplane to come see you, but I have peace knowing you are in Heaven with Jesus walking through gardens of beautiful flowers beyond anything I could ever imagine! I thank the Lord for blessing me with you as my Father. You truly loved Mom and our family with all your heart. You worked so hard to provide for our family to make sure all of our needs were met. You always had a nugget of wisdom for me in every conversation we had. In the last conversation we had on January 1, 2014, the day you went home to be with the Lord, you told me to treasure the relationships I had with our family and my children and grandchildren, always being there for them to celebrate the special times in their lives and never take them for granted. I will try to spend the rest of my life doing that Dad. If I could think of one word to describe you Dad, it would be wisdom. You were a man of wisdom who always had the right word I needed to hear at just the right time. A scripture in God's Word that gives a picture of you as my Father is in 1 Corinthians 4:19 "But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue." I am proud to call you my Dad and to be your Daughter. Thank you for loving me well. I look forward to seeing you again when the Lord calls me home. Love, Your Daughter Mary
