Matt and I were classmates at Burnham and Luella Elementary Schools, and Bowen High School. And sad to say, the only time I spent with him after graduation was at our high school reunions. My loss.

We did, however, talk a bit at those reunions and discovered we shared interests like Scouting, and we exchanged stories about the wonderful and clever things our grandkids did. Bottom line? After 25 or 40 or 50 years, we were able to connect well enough to be interested in each others' lives.

The world is a lesser place with Matt's passing.

Matt was in a wood working class that we took at Oconomowoc High School in the late 70s. We had a lot of fun at those classes. He was such a kind and caring man. I was lucky to have known him.

Janet and Family: I was sad to read about Matt's passing. You probably don't know me but Matt and I worked together for many years. I go back to his days with Travelers. I worked for the Rating Bureau for 40 years so I knew Matt for a very long time. In fact I'm the guy he use to build the planter boxes for over the years. He was a fine person and always a pleasure to work with. I was sorry I could not attend the visitation and service but I still had out of town family members staying with me and my wife for the Holidays. May the Lord be with you and your family in this time of sorrow

So sorry to hear of your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Matt in the audit dept at West Bend. I will keep your family in my prayers.
