Always remembering. Forever, Aunt CIndy
June 1, 2011
Dr. Kemp and family--
I have been thinking of you over this past Memorial Day weekend and keeping you in my prayers as you remember and grieve your son. Memorial Day is a time of honoring those who have served and I am sure that this Memorial Day is filled with both great pride and great sadness for you. I am grateful for Ricky's service to our country and the many others that have served also. God's comfort be with you.

Ricky shared a plan with me. He said when he got out of the Military he was going to travel the world for one year. He was especially excited while talking about how much he wanted to take his Mom to China. He said his Mom always wanted to go there; and, he was so happy thinking about what a good time they'd have together! He said his Mom always made him laugh with her super funny sense of humor. Then, he said after the year was up he'd settle in the States and start his own business. Ricky has always been a sparkle.... a bundle of love - filled with Light.
Words can never express the love our entire family has for Ricky.
So, sweet Team it is with great respect I ask: Please keep praying for my sister and her family.
Much love to all, Aunt Cindy

Rick, I have not written as of yet, this is the first time. To me your 22 years were so short yet so full, so happy yet ending so sadly. I will always remember you as trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. Always prepared, always ready to do your best for God and country. Willing to help others and always physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
Yes you were all of these and more. It is said that "Rangers lead the way" and you did. Even now after you have gone you lead us to a better place, a better way.
I am not good at this , but you were a better man that I, but you ever encourage me to improve what I can.
I will always remember and love you my son.
