To the family of Rick Majerus may God give you comfort and peace by means of prayer - Philippians 4:6,7. My deepest sympapthy

My heart goes out to his family during this time of loss. Pray that "the God of all comfort" brings the Majerus family comfort at this difficult time.

Though I personally did not know Coach Majerus, I feel like I have lost a family member. As the Coach of the Runnin Utes, I followed Coach through all the years and I was his biggest fan. I graduated from the University of Utah and lived in Utah many years. I even have a picture of Coach and myself on the wall taken in 1999 as part of his book signing. Thanks for everything you did Coach Majerus and we all will miss you. My sympathy to all the family.

Rick was the best! I was a grad student in Journalism at Marquette when I did a profile on Rick, then the second Asst. to Al McGuire and Hank Raymonds. He was genuine; he lived, sleeped and died basketball. He gave me an entree to Al, and he also got me to audit Hank Raymonds course on Coaching Basketball. He learned from the best; Al was the best at capturing the tempo or pulse of the game, and Hank was the best Xs and Os tactitioner, bar none! From the Mid 60s thru the Mid 70s, when UCLA won 10 championships under John Wooden, Marquette was the second best team of that era. With Rick's passing, it is the end of that era. RIP, Big Guy!
