Roger was one of a kind. He came into my life in August of 2006, and left September 1 2014,taking a piece of me with him. He was a very special type of person, always there for me & others. He never complained of his own health issues but was there to help anyone. To the end he was a fighter to live or accept what God had planned. He taught me much about accepting life, and his family which he loved. His last night on earth,as I left his room @ The Luthern Home at 10:30 p.m.was his usual comment of,love you, see you tomorrow Drive Safe.My comment to him was love you too good night I'll be here tomorrow. As I walked out the door I said May God Be With You,I had never done that before. The next morning God came & called Roger home.

I look around our house and I see the things he sent us, I see the plants in the garden he encouraged us to try and grow, I hear in my head his laughter so much like my fathers, I feel in my heart his caring and his love. He was truly a wonderful man and a special uncle

Roger was a Renaissance man. He could talk about hunting or plumbing, or he could share a recipe or a tip where to buy the best peaches. He was a man who engaged in his community and shared with all. He baked the most wonderful rhubarb custard pies that he'd donate to the church bake sales!! (I know, I'd buy them, yum)
He was wise about the past, but he lived in the today!
He loved all things Irish. And he loved his family and spoke of them with unending pride. He will be greatly missed and long remembered, and much loved. I was lucky enough to be one of the church friends who he called his Harem Girls.
I love you Roger. You made the world better! You and your family will be in my prayers.

My whole family loved Roger. He was one of the first people we met in our neighborhood, and he was so welcoming. He will be missed. Prayers to his family.
