Condolences to the family. Ron and I carpooled to #5 in the early 1970's
We always had a lot of laughs at #5.

MY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF RONALD SHULTIS. ALTHOUGH, I DIDN'T KNOW HIS FAMILY, I WAS A MILWAUKEE POLICE OFFICER FROM 1962-1980, ENTERING POLICE WORK WITH A COLLEGE EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY IN BROADCASTING. MY FIRST ASSIGNEMENT WAS THE OLD DISTRICT #7 POLICE STATION, THEN LOCATED ON N. 36 ST., WHERE I MET RON AND WORKED WITH HIM ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.

DUE TO MY PAST EMPLOYMENT IN BROADCASTING, AND MY BEING A VISIONERY IN THE USE OF TELEVISION AS A MEDIUM TO BE USED FOR TRAINING AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION AT ROLL CALLS, I WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE POLICE ACADEMY, AND WHEN THE CITY PURCHASED THE MADONNA HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS, EVENTUALLY DESIGNED A PROFESSIONAL TELEVISION STUDIO, AND CITY-WIDE POLICE TELEVISION NETWORK, WITH SEVERAL CHANNELS AVAILABLE AT THE POLICE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

IN 1978, I TOOK MY FAMILY ON A VACATION TO LOS ANGELES, AND SAW ANOTHER WAY TO "WINTER". IN THE FOLLOWING YEAR, 1979, I VISITED LOS ANGELES AND CHECKED OUT THE EMPLOYMENT "MARKET" AND COST'S OF PURCHASING A HOME. IN 1980, WHILE ON VACATION IN LOS ANGELES, I SECURED EMPLOYMENT, PURCHASED A HOME, AND RESIGNED FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AFTER "43 WINTERS". BY 1982, AFTER WORKING AT NBC-BURBANK, TECHNICOLOR, AND KHJ-TV, CHANNEL 9, FULL TIME, I WAS OFFERED A BROADCAST ENGINEERING "STAFF" POSITION, WITH THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK, WHERE I RETIRED AFTER 22.5 YEARS, IN 2005, AND CURRENTLY RESIDING IN LAS VEGAS--BUT STILL SINGING THE MUSIC OF SINATRA, TONY BENNETT AND NAT KING COLE.

DONALD H. PINSKER, MILWAUKEE POLICE
1962-1980, RESIGNED IN GOOD STANDING--CBS TELEVISION NETWORK, BROADCAST ENGINEER, BASED AT WEST COAST HEADQUARTERS, IN HOLLYWOOD, 1982-2005. sinatrapinsker@embarqmail.com

Ron, accept my sympathy for your loss. I remember your dad as a great guy. We had a long conversation one day in the engineers room at Vincent and we saw eye to eye on things. Because of that conversation I felt I had his backing to do what it took to get an effort out of you on the football field.

I met Ron at District #5 when he was on Squad 55 with Ron Heaney and Larry Hudzinski. What a character he was! My sympathy to his wife Susan and their children and grandchildren. Honor and Valor forever.
