Dan was first and foremost a kind and thoughtful friend. I haven't seen him in years and yet I realized that I always think of Dan in some way - whether its by reading a book that he had loved, drinking out of the mug he gave me for my birthday, or just remembering something he had said. Dan, you were a sweet, wonderful friend and you will be so missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Mr. and Mrs. Glass, Richard and Kari.

Frank and family. I was so saddened to read this. Nothing is worse than losing a child. My heart goes out to you and your wife. I don't know if you remember me but I worked with you at Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission in 1975. It's been a very long time but I still recognize names and faces. God bless you and your family and know that he is resting in the arms of our Lord.

As one of my brother's best friends, you were always there, Dan. When I think about the early days, you're always in them some how. Camping, hiking, scouts, there you are. I'm sorry for all the times I was a little brat. There's never been another person even remotely like you, and there never will be. Always the man, Dan.

I am so very sad for you and your family. I wish I had know Daniel. You were always telling me exciting things he was doing and how smart he was. Such a tragedy for you all. God Bless you and God Bless Daniel-

There was no one like Dan. He was always full of entertainment and information. He looked at life from a different perspective and wasn't afraid to call it like he saw it.

The world lost an amazing individual and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Even though we were not as close as we were a few years ago I always got a big smile on my face when I would run into him around Fairbanks. He was infectious that way, you had to smile around him. Resistance was futile.

Thoughts go out to his family.... there are no words.....

He will be missed

Dan was one of the most brilliant, insane, wonderful people I know I will ever be fortunate enough to meet. So thankful that I did, and shared in his life for a time. Our thoughts and love are with his family.
