Kathy and Billy I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was an awesome lady. I remember being a Brownie :) Kathy I have lost contact with you, I will have my address on the card I send you. May the Lord bring you peace.
I was so sad to see this in the obituary. My memories of Barbara are her and my mom working at Channel branch. I just loved her. Her daughter Kathy and I would play together because their house was behind our house. May the Lord give Barbara's family peace and strength during this difficult time.
I am so sorry for your loss. Barb was always pleasant all the years she worked at the bank. I enjoyed visiting with her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marti (Ward) Bernardez
Nanny was such a great part of our growing up and from that all of us have wonderful memories. We sisters recall fondly our trip with "our Nanny" and we've addressed her as Nanny ever since. We've missed her since she moved and will continue to. Take care.
Kathie/Billy, Your Mother and Father we're great folks and true Alaskans. I remember some great fire department and bank gatherings with lots of laugh's.
My heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. Nanny has a very special place in my heart. She introduced me to "Pancake" and "King" the smallest poodle I'd ever seen at Grandma Reid's farm, spent many hours listening to and telling me stories, made the best Black Cod soup (for that matter only) I've ever eaten. So many wonderful memories, she was a lovely woman and the best Nanny a girl could have.
Bill and Kathie my condolences to you and your families, Barb was a Mom to all of us kids in the 9th street gang ! She was one hell of a lady and will be dearly missed by all of us "Old Timers". BD Stewart
Wonderful memories of Barb!
