My deepest sympathies at Fred's passing. I was just 17 years old when traveling across the pacific on a boat (Makora) with my family. Fred's voice on the ham radio was our lifeline and I will always remember meeting him when we finally arrived in Honolulu on New Year's Eve. I still have the stuffed koala bears he and Jo gave me from Santa. R.I.P. you will always be part of my memories.
Phil and I are saddened to hear of Fred's passing! Our love and prayers are with you. We are so thankful for the
times we all had together and
are sad that we didn't get up to
Alaska to see you both again! Fred was an amazing man and
we will miss him as will all his
sailing friends! Love to you!

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. We appreciated all Fred did for us when we cruised the South Pacific. He made us feel safer on the long passages with his comforting voice and advice. We will always remember him fondly.

May God who is the comforter of all help your family at this most difficult time. Sincere condolences to you all.
Jo, Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you with the loss of Fred. He was a caring and knowledgeable man. We enjoyed our contacts with him as members of the CG Auxiliary and hold dear memories of his encouragement for Brian and I to join you for vessel exams at Excursion Inlet and Hoonah a few years ago. Always willing to give advice to make boating safer. The boating community is minus a true captain.
Jo, my deepest condolences. Fred was a great friend and a great guy. I will sorely miss my friend and boating buddy.
Uncle Ted shared this with me just now. It's a wonderful tribute. We send our love.
