Jan is truly an angel of grace & beauty, she has such a "sweet gentleness" about her. She will be deeply missed!
My deepest regrets to you Roger & Igor! I am so sorry. I send you love & many special blessings, you're in my thoughts & prayers.
Jan painted the world beautiful: using her pallet of creativity and enthusiasm brushed on with caring and integrity. She touched us all with gentleness, humility and love. It is so sad that she had to leave us so soon.
Our deepest condolences to Roger, Igor and the Neimeyer family. The Cadiente family was greatly saddened by her passing as we had all come to know Jan well through her very close and enduring friendship - "sistership" - with our sister, Ronalda. That Jan and Roger found each other to share their lives together speaks volumes of God's hand in their marriage as they were/are such kindred spirits and truly amazing reflections of each other's kind and respectful souls. Thank you, Jan, for your thoughtful and caring presence in my granddaughter Kierstyn's young student life and having "hands down" seized the acclaimed role of being her "favorite" teacher. Our prayers are with you and yours.
Jan's loving and gentle spirit Is an inspiration to me. Her joy of art, learning and living will stick around with so many of us old and young. Thank you, Jan, for all you gave to the world.
My condolences to the Neimeyer family. Jan gave her all to all those that ever had the pleasure to meet her. Dedication, commitment, hope, love, inspiration, family, beauty, and passion are just a few of the words that describe Jan. God welcomes another angel into the Heavens above but leaves us the so many fond memories that will be everlasting in our hearts.
What a lovely tribute. My deep sympathy to the family. I only met Jan once but loved hearing of her adventurous spirit & giving heart. (I am Marjorie Grier's sister & met Jan on trip to Alaska) Prayers to all.
Jan's life was so loving and energetic! She leaves a hole in the world that no one can fill. Blessings to her family at this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss... I will be out of town for the celebration, but hope that it is a nice event for you and all of Jan's Juneau friends. We wish you all the best.
The Audet Family (Cindy, Dave, & Adrienne)
I absolutely loved working with Jan. We did lots of great stuff over the years, most recently the augmented reality art gallery that featured her students' animation and artwork. Whenever I visited her classroom you could tell her students were inspired by her; she brought out talents and creativity in them that will serve them forever. And she was always smiling, always happy to be teaching, creating, on the forefront of helping her students become all they could be. She was a joy to be around. I will truly miss her.
I have such love and admiration for my dear friend Jan. I join her family in remembering her: her compassion for others, her love for life and family, the light she carried within her. I send my love and condolences to her family.
Mike Neimeyer and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember all of you when you worked with Bob Loescher at Sealaska. My thoughts and prayers as you take her on her last journey on earth. Barb (Whitcraft) Franks (email@example.com)
Roger and Igor, May wonderful memories of Jan help you through this difficult time. Jan was my a teacher to 2 of my children. She always made them feel welcome and wanted in her classroom. I truly thank her for her radiant smile and loving heart. May God bless you with peace.
Purely out of kindness to strangers Jan hooked us up with an adoption agency, invited us to her home, and coached and encouraged us all along the way. We would not have found our kids without her. No words can fully describe what a wonderful person she was.
My condolences to the family
Janice was such a beautiful lady and touched so many lives. I am saddened to hear of her passing. (isah. 25:8)
My condolences to the family of Jan...I was fortunate to know Jan & brother Joe from Tom Browne Jr. High & Mary Carroll High school in Corpus Christi Tx..She was very talented in art and her smile could light up the room! I enjoyed her sharing her photos with us on her Facebook page. She is and will be missed physically, but not spiritually for her memory loves on in our hearts. God Bless You All..
Jan you always lightened ones step even in passing ~ a sweet gentle spirit full of love. Rest in peace. Condolences to Roger, Igor, and family.
I had the pleasure of working with Jan and my children were blessed to be in her art classes. She will always be remembered for the wonderful, kind person she was! We share your loss.
To the Neimeyer family, I am truly sorry for your loss of your love one
Mrs. Neimeyer was one of my most favorite teachers I had in the Juneau School District. She was my teacher first, when I was in sixth grade at Marie Drake and again in high school at JDHS.
She was so attentive to each students' individual education and needs. Always soft spoken and gentle, she made us feel safe and cared for. She also had this energy and excitement with her teaching, that was so contagious to us kids. Forever encouraging, she was the reason so many of her students explored areas they may not have without her cheering us on. I loved her as my teache. She will live on in the hearts of so many and in the halls of our schools. Sincere condolences.
Mrs. Neimeyer was my ceramics teacher my Junior and Senior year of high school. My Junior year was her first year at JDHS and I became a sortof honorary teacher's aid, helping with the kiln and glazes. Jan was a truly wonderful person to spend time around. She was always kind, understanding and soft spoken. I still have the card she gave me when I graduated. I'm very sad to hear that she passed away. She left a wonderful mark on her students and I have very fond memories of her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.
Jan has enriched our lives. Thanks, Roger and Igor for sharing her with our family. She was, (and is) an example of to what we all should aspire. Much love, the Rolfe family.
Our Mothers lived in an orphanage together in Kwethluk, AK and remained friends throughout their lives--Jan said she loved hearing them share stories and giggle like young girls when they recalled memories. I know that Jan is now sharing stories with our Mothers, giggling and having coffee. Roger and Igor, cherish your loving memories of such a beautiful person as Jan. Jere & Shirley Walkush
I will miss you, you were a great teacher you made a great impact in my life and will be missed by a lot of people I am saddened by you're shortened loss I had seen you recently and was happy to see you, we will meet again and prayers to you're loved ones
She was such a lovely and positive person. I admired her as my ceramics teacher in 97' for being so patient with us teenagers. Love and light to her family.
I would like to offer Roger and Igor my condolences. Jan use to stop by the office at the district and she would talk about Igor with such passion that the excitement would rub off on anybody around the office. I'm sure she will be watching over her family, she was one fantastic lady.
Thank you for the beautifully written obituary and the photograph that says "Jan" in every way. Her generosity, warmth, and pure enthusiasm for life have been printed on many souls, in many ways. I am so sad to lose her, but so grateful for having known her. Rest in peace, Jan, and may your family live in peace.
My Condolences to Roger and Igor, Jan was so excited about Igor coming she could not hide her excitement and I'm sure she will be watching over her close family.
I had the pleasure of working with Jan at the Sealaska Corporation many years ago. Always smiling, always generous, always kind--that is how I shall remember her. My thoughts are with Roger and Mike and the rest of her family. I shall miss her remembrance but will be thinking of her...
Jan was the most wonderful friend with all the virtues in one person. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit with Jan last summer in Vancouver - I will miss her dearly.
My condolences to Roger and Igor, and Jan's siblings and their families.
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember all of the great times we had over the years. She was a beautiful, strong woman and so full of life. She is greatly missed.
I was so sad to hear about her passing. I had her all 4 years of high school and i just graduated this year. she was most definately my favorite teacher and she tought me so much. It was in her class that I realized how much i love ceramics and other forms of art. she was a great teacher and friend.
