Miss you Dad!

Robin,
Shirley and I were shocked and saddened to receive your email about Jim. As you know, our friendship went back 40+ years. I've stayed at your house, he's stayed at mine when you and your sister went to Europe. We were also roommates in our single days. I really enjoyed talking to him to catch up every so often since retirement. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

Jim was one of my best friends of all times. I can't begin to state how much I'll miss him. Robin, you two had a very special relationship that was contagious and spread to all of your friends. You have so many friends, and have been very blessed with great memories. There's not enough room to begin to talk about the fun we've all had together. Life will never be the same without our buddy, Jim. I do want to mention that I'm still sorry about the speeding ticket Jim got on the Expressway while driving (70 mph) and talking about great day skiing at Eaglecrest. If I had JUST known or noticed that cop with the speed gun was aiming for Jim, he could have escaped by driving up Salmon Creek Dam Rd. Or so I was told over and over again afterwards. Sorry, Jim...... Another thing I blew that you somehow forgave me for. Zeke

Robin, I was sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was so funny, and one of the nicest of that crazy DOT bunch! I always enjoyed talking to him, and seeing him at Eaglecrest. Loved hearing you two share your travel stories! He will be missed. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

My dad was a good father, husband and son. He was ALWAYS there for us girls when we asked for his help. He taught me how to swim and he attended EVERY track and field event I competed in. He was my biggest cheerleader and I can remember hearing his voice and cheering me on while he was sitting in the bleachers. He also was blessed with Robin. She is the best thing that ever happened in his life. We are blessed to have her as our mom, grandmother and great grandmother. Our hearts are heavy with sadness for the loss of this good man who's my dad. I cherish every single moment I recently had to spend with him. My dad will be very missed, always loved and forever in our hearts.

Robin -
I was so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I will never forget game night at your house, your wedding (so great) and all the fun we had at DOT in the early 80s. Jim had the best laugh ever, I can hear it now. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jim was a caring friend and so much fun to hike, ski and socialize with. We still laugh at his jokes and will miss him very much.
