I had the privilege of working with Kathy for several years in the tourism industry. She was a great person to work with and we shared laughter and history in Juneau and surrounding areas. A spark plug that has dimmed for the moment. RIP Kathy! I will miss your shining face!

Kathy was a great mentor in the tourism biz for me. Her passion for Juneau and helping a young lad like myself learn the ropes on how tourism works in Alaska will always be remembered.

Kathy was a shining light to me and so many others. She truly cared about people and loving them well. Kathy took me under her wing after she met me through working the tourism season with HAP a few summers back. Since then, I've enjoyed visits with her in Seattle and Juneau. She was thoughtful, fierce, kind and a good friend. She had a way of remembering so many details of your life and always found a way to encourage me. One of my last texts from Kathy was her telling me how proud she was of me for going back to school and getting a new career. I know she meant a lot to so many people and Juneau and her friends and Family will forever miss her spirit. She was one of the best.

Shining Star

The angels looked down from heaven one night
They searched for miles afar,
And deep within the distance
They could see a shining star.
They knew that very instant
That the star was theirs to gain,
So they took you up to heaven
Forever to remain.
Look down on us from heaven
Keep us free from hurt and pain,
You'll always be within my heart
Until we meet again.

Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven,
Blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Kathy & I started 1st grade together, so long ago. She married Alan's 1st cousin, Ron. She grew up in Alan's neighborhood, we have both known her forever. Her family will be in our prayers, we are so sorry.

My sincere condolence for the loss of your love one. May God comfort and give you hope. Jeremiah 29:11,12

Kathy could strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger and make them feel like a friend. Strong, energetic, and intelligent, one couldn't help listen to what she had to say on a subject and be enlightened. Our condolences to her husband, son and family. May she rest in peace.

Kathy was truly "one-of-a-kind." Wonderful, caring supportive and endearing but she could also be feisty and opinionated, as fro that we truly loved her. She will be truly missed by us but heaven received another Angel when she arrived. Miss you and love you Kathy! Peter, Barron & Chloe

I have so many good memories of my long time friend Kathy. My sincerest sympathy to Ron and Jimmy for this huge loss in your lives... A huge loss in all of our lives.

Oh what a void there will be in the Juneau community without Kathy. How will anything get done!! She was an energetic and totally decent person who leaves a long train of friends to mourn and remember her many challenges and achievements.
Sadness and good wishes to Ron and the family. A vital part of the community and many lives has passed on.
