With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and may God grant you the comfort to endure.

"Young Mike" was what my papa would call Mike when he was just starting out on the docks of Juneau. My father, "Longshore Brownie" aka Hubert Brown Sr, had a lot of respect for Mike.

The old guard is probably all passed on that

would remember the "real" stevedores of
Juneau that I remember as a child. Hard
working hard drinking family men....God bless
them all and what they did to form Alaska into
the State it is.
I can picture Papa,Bingo, Joe Guy, Clarence
Laiti all getting together again in heaven and
re-
telling Mike stories of yesterday's gone by....then getting kicked out for telling the truth!
Rest in peace Mike!

To the family, may God grant you comfort, but take note that you Mike was respected by many!

The Ellers were lifelong friends with the Avoians, "Tillie", Mike's Mom and my grandmother, Shamerion were fast friends. Mike was a good man! He is missed.
