Not sure if you are still receiving these messages Megan but I worked with your dad Rocky and loved him very much. He helped me adapt to Alaska as an electrician. He met me in the morning in his tee shirt when it was below freezing and off we went to Crow Hill Condos listening to head banging music. He pointed the way and made work easy for me. Then I became his landlord when your were born, and we tried to sell him the place as he took such great care of the place. I am sorry that the world doesn't have his laughter anymore, I will miss growing old with him. He always had a great joke for me and anyone who had the pleasure of bumping into him.

I have recently retired and was speculating a trip to Juneau with hopes to chase down my old friends the Selvigs. I met Rocky in 1969 and later, moved with my family to Juneau the summer of 73 to 74. I have profoundly vivid and fond memories of those short months. Just yesterday, I was blathering on about Jane's sourdough pancakes to my daughter Hannah's fastpitch coach, and how thankful I was she split the recipe with my mother Mary. Tonight I searched for you guys and discovered this article. Truth is, Rocky was my oldest memorable buddy from 1969. He was 5 and I was 6. Between then and 74, l could write a book on our adventures. I'm completely sad to read the news and I'm so sorry for the family's loss. I'm even more sorry to find out I'm long too late to catch up with my oldest childhood friend. Caveman3051@gmail.com

I just saw this today and I was shocked, Rocky is a wonderful person, during highschool, he was always there to share some good advice to keep an underclassman out of trouble, my prayers go to the family.

It's been a year, even though I only saw you around town occationally, we caught up some and had great conversation. The world is a worse off place without you in it. I miss you.

What a beautiful, sensitive and loving soul. His creativity and perceptive abilities were second to none.

I met Rocky when he worked for Northern Construction. He came over with a boom truck to help put up my Christmas lights. After I climbed in the bucket with him he raised it the hightest it would go. I was gripping the sides and said "we can go down now". He was laughing the whole time. My prayers and thoughts to Jane, Krisi, Sara and Megan.
