Stu worked with our company for years. Stu was top notch as an employee, but also as a trusted freind and brother to all of us here at Coogan Const. I would see Stu every now and again after he retired and we would talk about the good old times and after each talk I would feel so good. My Brothers and I really feel blessed to have known such a good man. We send our condolences to Bev and Stu's family. G.Coogan

Stew had a kind heart and a real Alaskan spirit. He loved the outdoors and he loved Alaska. He always seemed to be doing something to help others. He took nothing for granted.. Stew was a great storyteller and loved to sit and talk. I loved having him as a brother-in-law, and will miss him dearly. He will always have a place in my heart.

To Stews family, and all the people whom he affected through out his adventures! Stew was a great man, and a great supervisor. He was my first ever sup/forman while working with the Local 942. My first job with him was working on the UAS campus drainage under the buildlings. He was a great man, and a good hand to invite in on any job. His legacy can be seen everywhere he touched, worked, and added to this community. May the lord bless your family for having him in your life, and may his angles watch over your family during your time of need.

My father was and still is a professionally skilled in all aspects of life. His life is a perfect example of the American spirit. My father grew up in poverty and through ambition, determination and the willingness for a better life he prospered. During his endeavors he never forgot the value of family, friends and always respected others. For my father is truly a kind soul. He was respected and appreciated by the communities of Southeast Alaska and everyone who he had briefly met during his various travels. He always looked for ways to improve the community by building the infrastructure (such as Hospitals, Correctional Facilities, Schools, Harbors, Juneau Bridge, Colleges and other structures to name a few), Southeast Alaska and developing the communities he resided in. I personally feel the world will not be the same without him. For I miss his company and the sound of his voice. His loving son.

Stu was a true professional in all aspects. His abilities spanned being able to repair the finest, most intricate equipment to the largest. He was respected and admired by all who had the opportunity and pleasure to work with him. He was a person people turned to for advice and a gentleman of the highest order, always strong and always dependable.

Linda and I send our condolences to Bev and Stu's family.

Dear Beverly & Family,
Stu was a very good man, who we enjoyed as a neighbor for many years. He would always stop to have a word with my Mother Rita Thomas coming and going with a bright smile on his face.
Far to soon for Stu to go, but we know he was happy and enjoyed his life with you Bev.

All our Love,

The Thomas Family
