I'm sorry to hear of Mrs Ko's passing. Mrs. Ko's son, Barry, and I took accordian lessons may decades ago. I remember coming over to her house and borrowing a ride from time to time. Mrs. Ko will be missed.

Dr. Ko, Leonora, Barry, Al, and the rest of your family - So sorry for your loss. I'm Dave and Norma Smith's niece. I first met Helen probably 44 years ago, or so..shortly after I came to Kalamazoo. She was a good family friend, as are all of you. Lord bless. Kathy Kittredge Borgman

Dear Ko Family Members--YOUR Helen was such a vital, fun soul who always had a smile and a laugh for those around her. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren deeply and did such wonderful creative things with them as they were progresing through the years.
She fought the cancer with all she had and I know she remained a fighter until the Lord whispered to her and said it was time to go home and be without pain...It took great courage and I am sure special delight on her last day, to prepare for a special family ceremony so she could hold a family court like a queen and then meet with each of you, giving you a precious momento from her. I can only imagine the courage it took for your Helen to do this special ceremony with the family. What a Queen --what a lady! You are blessed to have had Helen in your lives and I am blessed, also, to have known and had Helen in mine through the years. My heart and thoughts are with you at this difficult time of mourning and remembering. Please know I am here if you need me for anything, big or small, as you go through the next few weeks and days.
Helen gave you ALL such special memories to hang on to------like a loved one does for those she loves ... JUDY BENNETT

Helen was a wonderful woman whose smile could light up a room. She was also a fierce tennis opponent who won far more than she lost. Richard and I have very fond memories of times we spent together. She will not be forgotten.
