Norman Brown

I'm so sorry, I graduated with Norman in 1956. He was a wonderful person. An outstanding fellow student.

Mrs. Brown, I am very sorry for the death of your husband. I just heard about it yesterday during EARTH graduation ceremony. I remember when I met him by June 1992, when I was starting my studies at EARTH college, and then I met you at the beginning of 1993. About 5.5 months I lost my mother, so I understand your pain. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Norm's leadership abilities, rectitude, patience and good humor were abundantly evident as he guided the first group of Kellogg Fellows through the program. While not always an easy task, Norm's quiet manner and obvious dedication to Kellogg and Partners of the Americas earned him the highest respect of the group.His passing will leave a gaping hole in his family and a world size hole in the international community he knew and served so long and so well. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Dr Brown encouraged me and gave me a scholarship so I could attend MSU. I would not be where I am at in life without his help.

Our sympathy to Bernice and family. It was a privilege to work with him on the Fellowship program for Partners of the Americas, while he was in MN. I admired his leadership. We both knew him through our work with Partners of the Americas. He made an impact in all his endeavors.
