As a young girl, Aunt Joyce had a special influence on me, especially since I was given her middle name. My top 2 memories of her is how she hosted so many family meals. The food was always wonderful and her hospitality genuine. It was always a fun experience. The other memory is the summer she let me go with her to the Bass Orchards to pick cherries so I could earn money for more school clothes. I never knew making money could be so much fun! Joyce and her sister in law Carol would pick me up before the crack of dawn and take me to the orchard. They were the the funniest grown ups I had ever been around. They made the day fly by and taught me work can be fun. We never get over losing our loved ones, but knowing how fortunate you were to have them never has to go away.
Love, Janice "Elaine" Daniels Kalisiak

Hard to say goodbye to someone you've known and cared about so long, but eventually it happens to us all either sooner or hopefully later. Joyce if she had a fault it was being too nice and in the 40 years I knew her I don't remember her being angry even with me which was a miracle in itself. We golfed, camped , swam ,boated traveled to Arizona and she made the best home made pizza in the world. I haven't had one in a long time because I think they finally realized I ate way more than my share and all of you know my waistline sure didn't need it! I first met her back in 1977 when I came out as her eldest daughters guest and she was as polite and caring as if I was visiting my own mother! Believe me I am no gem and my lack of self worth and extreme shyness comes out with my nervous blabbering more often redundant and nonsensical even to me. She always listened non the less and at least pretended to be interested no matter what crazy thing I had to mutter. Her husband was a giant of a man, but we became great friends yet rivals (Ford vrs. Chevy) and I never have been able to understand why Jim didn't admit Fords were better (by the way I own a chevy lol Joyce please don't tell him). I've always been an extremely shy no confidence person which makes me like I said running my mouth, and spouting not because I meant them, but just because I lose control of my tongue when around anyone but my dog lol, but Joyce was a wonderful caring mother-in-law and great friend for the 35 years I've been married to her oldest child and I wouldn't have traded her for anyone and am so very thankful to have been able to share in her life! Joyce I will always miss you, but more so I will always cherish having you in my life! Goodbye and thanks for everything and especially for being
EXACTLY who you were!!! LOVE Frank
PS. Could we have all moved out of this darn snowbelt!? lol

Joyce I will always miss you and the fun times we had together catching bull head off dock and all the swims with grampa big Jim and bomb fires out back but most of all I will never forget the lightening storm we got caught in while fishing in the little red boat together R.I.P. Joyce love you Trevor
