Sue was my roomie at UofM Spring 1963. She was so kind and is probably responsible for my getting off probation. Will never forget her. So sorry for your loss.

Chris, I was sad to hear of Sue's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am stunned to hear about Sue's death. Our life paths had taken different routes as time passed. Sue was an extraordinary person who impacted my life in so many ways both personally and professionally. She was my mentor as a rural SLP service provider and as I tried to fill her shoes (but never did) as Alaska's Legislative Councilor to ASHA. She was a superior SLP, and a genuine personal/professional confidant. My life was blessed to have known her. Sue was "one of a kind" in all ways. Her humor/laughter/wisdom will never be forgotten. I was always in awe of how this brilliant woman gave her time and talents to so many, especially for families/children she helped, but especially to Chris and Ian. Thank you for sharing her for those of us lucky enough in this life to have known her. May her family and friends have their happy memories to comfort them at this most difficult, sad time.

To Ian and Chris,
I just read the message from Joyce Bennett and Joyce wrote how we all felt and remembered about Sue. We all shared wonderful lunch times together and Sue made our times so fun and special. She was such a great mentor to Marcia Nash. Sue was very much loved by students and fellow teachers. Sincerely, Lee
