My husband Keith Marsh worked with Charles at KGE for many years at the Ripley Plant and Wichita Station Plant. Keith and Charles were very good friends who fished and hunted together many times. When Keith got sick with cancer in 1992, Charles was a friend to the end visiting Keith in the hospital many times. After Keith's passing any time I had questions about my car or home repairs, Charles always had the answer. May the Lord bless his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

To Jan and Family, I'm sorry to hear of Charlie passing. I had hopes of seeing him later this summer. I always enjoyed working with him, Hack, Sir Jim, Shorty Walden, and Sir John at the Wichita plant. I was the kid there while trying to get through college. He was always supportive and patient, and a calming influence in the group. May God be your comfort at this time. Rest in peace, Charlie R.

We are saddened to learn that Charlie has passed away. He was such a kind, gentle soul with a willingness to help anybody at any time. Our family was his and Jan's neighbors for many many years. He helped with everything from building the garage to planting a tiny oak sapling in the front yard and nurturing it to become the beautiful tree it is today. Mom would call him in the middle of a cold winter night when the furnace quit. He came right over to relight the pilot and then made sure it stayed lit. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, Charlie.

My father, Glen Hackney, worked with Charlie at KG&E for many years, and I always enjoyed my opportunities to meet with him. So sorry to hear of his passing---

I am saddened to hear of Charlies'passing. He and Jan have been neighbors of my parents for many, many years. He was a wonderful man, who took the time, anytime to help anyone with anything. And, so he did with my parents. Once, Mom lost her wedding ring under the fridge--Charlie came right over to retrieve it! He never complained and never said a bad word about anyone. We will miss you,Charlie.
