I am very sorry to learn of Jack's passing. Jack is my grandmother's (Beaulah Reed) brother. Unfortunately I had only a few brief opportunities to interact with Jack, the most recent at the Zook family reunion in Minneapolis around 2005. By all accounts, Jack was a remarkable individual. I have some old photos of Jack taken by MarVaughn Reed when they were flying a Cessna twin to Las Vegas sometime in the late 50's. I have also heard a story about Jack and MarVaughn winding up on the same ship headed out to the Pacific during WWII. Rest in peace, Jack.

Dear Carol, Very sorry to hear of the demise of your father. Regret that I did not know him well, but the several times I did speak with him (half a century ago), I regarded him as a fellow with considerable class. Perhaps five-six years ago, I sent him a long letter that was meant for you. Not sure if he did forward it to you, however. If you didn't receive, please give me your Email or other address and I'll send again. I'm now in Vichy (France)will be in Zuerich tomorrow, Vienna on Monday and Tuesday. I had the fortunate opportunity to interact with Jack at Larksfield, I am a security guard there, and got to know him very well, he will be dearly missed, He was simply my favorite resident of all time, RIP my friend!!

Jack was a class act and will be deeply missed!
