I just heard the sad news of Dottie's passing. She taught me so much when I started teaching for Head Start in 1995. I loved her practical advice, straightforward style, and sense of humor.

Dottie was always so fun to be around, she was always upbeat, kind, added funny stories and anecdotes to our meetings and I am so glad I got to know her at Child Start. God Bless her and her family.

Dottie was my favorite person who taught teacher trainings. She always was looking for a new way for teachers to incorporate literacy into our classrooms. Everything that she taught not only helped me to be a great teacher but carried over into my home once a became a mother. Dottie- thank you for everything! You will never be forgotten.

Dottie will be missed by her colleages at Child Start! Although I had not seen her for awhile, I kept her in my thoughts. She taught me so much and her gift as a speech pathologist was a blessing to Head Start. She had a sense of humor and was a great listener, I will miss her. Her family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless her husband, children, and grandchildren.
