Mr. Rodney was a national treasure! His service to our country was amazing! What those Marines in WW II endured must never be forgotten. He touched the lives of many of my students and showed them what sacrifice and honor truly are! Semper Fi! God Bless! It was an honor to have known such a great man!

Papa Jay,

I just want to Thank You for being there for me, my brothers and sisters. You were a TRUE mentor to all of us when we were growing up. You had a a warm heart of gold with a MIGHTY hand grip. LOL. You will be missed. Until we meet again. Love You.

Jay brought so much joy to everyone he was around. He loved God and shared his faith. Our family had great times with him and Betty and we are thankful for the beautiful and fun memories. We will miss you very much. From Debbie (Parry) and Rob Hildreth

Jay was an outstanding person! Soft-spoken with a hearty laugh and a firm handshake! Never knew a stranger because people seemed to be drawn to him. Jay was a strong believer of our Lord and Savior, and for that, I know we'll see the Tootsie Roll Man again.
