Rande:

I was very sad to hear of Lynn's passing and my prayers are with you and your family. He is in a much better place and happy. Lynn helped me through my transition times from the pistons into the King Air's and then into the Citations and I will be forever grateful. Great man and friend.

Stay focused on the Lord and he will help you through the days ahead.

Sincerely,

Ron Gottschalk

I was sorry to hear this news. I flew with Lynn many times at Hawker Beechcraft and we always had great times together. He was a real one-of-a-kind guy. He affected and influenced so many people in the years I knew him. My sincerest condolences. Clear skies and favoring winds my friend.

Rande,
I heard about Lynn's passing on and want to send my condolences to you and the family. I wish I could have come up but it just wasn't possible. Lynn was such a good person and thought of others before himself. He will be missed.

Lynn Penney was so much fun. I first met him at Cessna and then he showed up one day (many years later) flying the 1900 for us at Beech. The trips to Little Rock and beyond were much more fun with Lynn in the left seat. I know he's in the left seat now, shooting that bumpy approach into Atlanta with all of us hanging on by our seatbelts. The wind in Kansas was mild compared to that day in Atlanta. God speed and tailwinds, Lynn. We'll miss you.

Lynn, We love you and Your family so much. Your big smile comes to mind each time I have prayed for you these last few months. Randi and family, keep your memories close at hand to help you through these trying months ahead and know that your family loves you very much - us Halsey girls thought a lot of him and were so blessed to have him as a cousin. Just wish we would all get together more often like we use to growing up. Let us know if we can be of any comfort to any of you. Love you all very much - Terry, Tammy, Tracey and our family. xo "Mom's up there smooching on him :) "... see you at the memorial.

Character is defined by the things you do for others with nothing expected in return, Lynn was always doing for others. I met Lynn in my early years of flying and on one occasion early on while doing flight planning and I'm sure looking confused Lynn started a conversation and ended up answering all my questions long before I asked and he did it in such a kind way. I left that day with a renewed sense of confidence and warm at heart in knowing I had a new friend. Lynn was always friendly, encouraging, and interested in others. Thru the years I always looked forward to visiting with Lynn, seeing his smiling face and joking with him. While visiting with Rande and Lynn about three weeks ago I shared my faith and acceptance of Jesus with Lynn and was so happy to hear that he and Rande both knew Jesus as their savior. I knew that minute that our friendship was for eternity and Lynn was just waiting for us. I will miss you Lynn. God Bless you Rande, look up, pack up, for it won't be long before we are going up.

Lynn always provided everyone he met a bright ray of sunshine and an encouraging word, a true cheerleader of his fellow man and family. Truly haven't met anyone who lived family first like Lynn! And he exemplified the wingman every pilot wanted by his side, I consider him as one of those I was blessed to have had right there in times past. He will be missed!
