DERBY Horstman, Mary Frances, age 87, homemaker, passed away at her home surrounded by her family, Friday, May 3, 2013. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Monday, May 13, 2013, with family receiving friends 5-6 PM, at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at El Paso Cemetery, Derby. Pastor Tom Johnson of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate. Mary was born in Watertown, SD on April 16, 1926, to the late Lewis and Frances Rollins. She graduated from High School in 1944. Mary was married to Melvin Christian Horstman on October 8, 1945; they were married 67 years. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Meehan. She is survived by her husband, Melvin; sons, Doug Horstman (Jean), of Mulvane, Bob Horstman (Beverly), of Wichita, Tom Horstman (Mary), of Arlington, TX; daughter, Mary Jo Jones (Dave), of Clearwater; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 or to DaVita Renal Treatment Center, 250 W. Red Powell Dr., Derby, KS 67037-2626.
