Its taken me a bit to be able to write this. Gone too soon little brother, gone too soon. You take care of Mom, Dad, Chip and all those that you joined and we'll do our very best to take care of those you left. I'll miss you...
Bruce was a shining example to all of us of how to be a great husband, a great son, a great Dad, a great Grandpa and a great friend. He crammed a lot of life into his 51 years and lived each moment to the fullest. He truly enjoyed life and had such a huge heart for everyone. He never knew a stranger. His wife Christy was his best friend and soul mate. He has left a tremendous legacy of love, laughter and wisdom and I know he probably thinks we're all a bunch of goofballs making over him like this, but Bruce was truly one of a kind. The world is a little less good without Bruce in it. See you on the other side, my friend. Sending love and good thoughts to Christy and your precious family.
Bruce was a great friend to Mark and to me. He was always there for anyone who needed help. I will cherish the memories of our trout fishing trips at Roaring River at The Trout House. Bruce always managed to catch the most fish and win that little orange flashlight trophy Mark came up with. It still resides in the case at The Trout House. A lot of great times we spent there. He was a true friend and like Mark gone too young and too soon. My prayers are with you Christy, Keri and Amanda and all of his family.
We both loved Bruce. Even after time and different paths in life, we still speak of him often and have so many funny stories to tell. He was loved by all of our classmates. I can't imagine anyone who ever met him not loving the the guy. Just good good people. Christy, our hearts go out to you and your family. I know that you know you were blessed to have had him in your life, but he too was blessed to have you. The love you have for one another was very evident. :)
Way too young and very sad. However, I must say he was wonderful to have as a brother in law. Bright, articulate, funny and always had that zest for life to engage in numeerous activities. Wonderful to my wife Linda and our kids as they sure enjoyed the time we spent with Bruce and Christy. He had a gift that enabled him to relate easily with anyone. I think that and his endearing love for my sister and his kids will be how I will remember Bruce. Sincere thanks for the times we had and the joy you brought to me and my family. You did very well my friend and for that we are all grateful and blessed to have you as part of our family.
We will keep your family in our prayers.
We always kidded Bruce about always having "a better idea" and having "all the guts in the family". In reality, both were true. I will miss that more than I can say. He used to aggravate me by correcting my grammar and spelling, not that I didn't need it! I'd give anything now for him to chastise me for using "entomolgy" instead of "etymology" in a sentence, as he did during their last visit to Rose Hill. Love you little brother, I'll miss you...
I so cheish my many memories of Bruce! He had that fun and magnetic personality that always drew people close. A relative by marriage but more importantly, a wonderful friend spanning many years. I miss you my friend! Love you much!
Bruce was one of my very best friends and I loved him and his girls like family. He will truly be missed by my family and all that knew him. Googles stock just went up because now I have to look to the internet for all my questions!! Bruce held more information in his head than anyone I ever knew!! Love you brother!!
I pray that God gives you peace and comfort at this most difficult time. The Stimson clan are a great bunch of guys stariting with big Royce we sure appreciated your friendship while in the ville. Rip Bruce . The stouts
Bruce loved bread pudding. He is deeply loved and missed.
Gosh I don't where to start. Bruce, Mark & I grew up in the same neighborhood in Coffeyville. Lots of good memories in & around on Ohio St. Bruce's wit and jovial attitude towards life was amazing. In high school I really don't remember him ever be hateful or unkind to any classmates. He was so talented in a mulltitude of things . I will miss his kindness and laid back attitude .
I very much enjoyed having Bruce and the Stimpson family as part of our extended family. Bruce was a unique and fun individual who drank deeply of life and exhibited great joy--shining a light on all of the people he came into contact with. His generous gifts as an organ donor will give others life. He has passed to the memories of all who knew him. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.
I am sorry to hear of your loss, I only got to meet Bruce a couple times through Lynxspring, will be keeping you in my prayers, also, have a good time of remembering him in his celebration of life...
I had many good times with Bruce and his wife and kids.. I use to live just across the street from him.. He was so kind and taught me a lot about the working of a computer.. SUPER NICE GUY!
