Please accept my condolences for the loss of your loved one. During times of grief, allow God to comfort you and your family for he truly understands what you are going through. (Psalms 72:12-14)
We really wish we lived closer so we could have attended the funeral. I know there were many people there as he was well loved and respecte4d in that community. You and your family are all in my thoughts and prayers.

As a principal, Mr. Helmuth was a role model of integrity and student-centered education. In the early years of my career, he taught me so much about being an excellent educator. His leadership created a loving environment for students, teachers, and community. I have such wonderful memories of my days at Prairie View. He will be missed by so many people he touched over the years and loved him.
Dave was my principal at Hazel Grove in 68. He never forgot those days or did I..As a member of our church he worked tirelessly for all who were there. A good man and lifelong friend who will be dearly missed by me and all who knew this giving man.
Diane & family I will always remember the good times we had in Aruba with you & David. So very sorry. Love Sharon & Larry
Mr. Helmuth was my 7th grade Science teacher at Lee's Summit Junior High. One of my favorite teachers, and so sorry for your loss. God bless, and remembering Mr. Helmuth fondly!!!
My sympathies are with David's family. I got to know David while he was principal of Prairie View. He was so active with the children, even the ones who seemed to walk in the shadows. I will never forget how he treated my son, with caring and dignity. Diane, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I had the pleasure of knowing Dave as PTA President the first two years at Prairie View Elem. Dave was a wonderful Principal always putting the students and parents first. The teaching profession has lost a wonderful man. Elaine Fallen
