Thoughts and prayers to the family he will be missed by all
So happy to be a part of the lovely service to honor the life of a dear friend. He would have loved the music, the joyous tone and even the storm in the background. He is already missed so very much and left us all better spiritually for having known him.
Hugs to the family. God give you comfort in this time
Debbie thinking or you and your family, many thoughts and prayers for you all during this time of sorrow!!! Know that your dad is sculpting for the Lord now, no other place better!!! Susan and Dodd
I am very sorry for your loss.
What a hole we'll have in our hearts with this wonderful man's passing. Dave was always so soft spoken & kind-hearted, that anyone that had the honor of meeting him was instantly charmed & immediately his friend. Personally, I know I'm a better person for knowing him & thankful for our talks & our laughs during his short trips walking with him to his home. My deepest sympathy to his family & friends. One-Eyed Jack's will miss "Action Jackson".
Lots of fun and fond memories of the Jackson family growing up in Westport. Debbie, Dawna and Denise, I'm sorry for your loss.
Debbie, Dawna, Denise, and Aunt Susie,
Our hearts are with you at this time of loss. Uncle David's legacy and free spirit will live on in his art and his writings. We will see you on Thursday.

I met Dave Jackson in 1972 when I worked as a secretary at the Kansas City Art Institute. He was older than the other students, responsible, pleasant ... a very nice man who worked hard. I well remember the Canada goose sculpture as it grew larger and larger. We were so excited when we learned it was to really fly to its home via helicopter. Dave was wonderfully creative and a gentle spirit.
The Sumner Wild Goose Festival committee and the community of Sumner give our condolences and deepest sympathy. We hoped he could attend the festival a few years back but couldn't. His statue "Maxi" The Worlds Largest Goose is loved by many for generations and will continue to be for generations to come.
