I will always remember my uncle,in that he never did anything half way. Particularly clebrating! it was no stops ahead full steam when it came to that. He always found ways to make a celebration special and help us find meaning in it all.
Don made grad school fun even when it wasn't. He always had a smile and an infectious good nature. Condolences to the family on the premature loss of a great guy.
Lucie and family, please accept my condolences on Don's passing. His obit description perfectly captures the rascal I first met in the MHA 77 classroom nearly 40 years ago. To borrow a phrase from Lincoln, Don certainly was one of the better angels of our nature.

One of the nicest, most sincere men I've ever known...
We find ourselves lacking in words to express our sorrow today for Lucie and Don's family. But we are comforted by the example Don gave us during this past year and his sure and steady faith in living life to it's fullest. He has indeed left some very big shoes for all of us to fill, and we will do our very best! We love you all, Joe and Susan Brown.
Don truly was and extraordinaire man in many ways. His smile was infectious and he could raise the spirits of those around him. I never saw him when he was down. We met while working Wedin's Summer Camp. He was a very mature, competent, capable, and confident young counselor. We became friends and remained so throughout his life. I always looked forward to seeing him at a school event so we could catch up. He had a way of making me feel special, even in a brief conversation. He made the world a better place.
Don was an amazing man and will certainly be missed. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
