I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Valentine a few months ago and he was the kindest and most gentle man. He wouldn't stop holding my hand and making me laugh :-) Being engaged to his grandson Gregory Crainshaw, I am honored to be part of his family soon and be given the opportunity to share those precious moments with him. My heart and prayers go out to the entire family. I love you all!

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Valentine. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

I will miss seeing Maurice walking towards me at church, tilting his head to the right, smiling for all he's worth & giving me a hug. See you later, Mr. Handsome.

Dear family,
I feel more like family than just friends. Please know you are in my prayers. I will always remember Maurice's smile. He was the most friendly person. I know he and Joe will meet in heaven. Wow, there are so many there to greet him. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you. God will see you through this as I know you already know. Love you all.
