Our Dear Mary! We at Bethel Neighbohood Center will miss her so much. I can't begin to tell you, her family, how she touched us all with her strong faith and her cheerfulness even when she was in pain. She showed so much determination in coming each week to Bethel, eager to partipate and contribute to our Bethel Community. Mary often told me, "I'd kiss you, but I only kiss men!" So I'm thinking that now she can kiss the Good Lord Jesus, all those Apostles, and give hugs to all the rest of them in Heaven! God has blessed us richly in having Mary to show us how to love, have hope, and be faithful.

"In the tender compassion of our God the dawn from on high shall break upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shalow of death, and to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1: 78-79

Mary Lou Aguilar was one of our senior program participants at Bethel Neighborhood Center. She always said, "Smile, you look better when you smile," and she smiled a lot and made us all happy. She never complained and had a very positive outlook and attitude the whole time she participated in our senior program. She was a good friend to our program participants, the Bethel staff members, and our volunteers. She taught us to be kind through her actions. She never kept anything for herself but shared everything she had with others. Every morning she was at Bethel, she tried to give me her chocolates and cookies. We, at Bethel Center, are so blessed to have had her with us. We will treasure our memories of her. We will miss her very much! May her soul rest in peace!
