I wanted to share a poem I wrote about my Dad. It included all of his sayings through the years. I love you Daddy.
Your daughter Christina,
My sign was up in my trailer “Gone Fishing”
Fishing was a time for relaxing and peace
Trout line fishing was my specialty and catfish was my fish
Catfish is a brain food. I don't need any, but I know some people that do.
I loved the lake and spent many days on the boat
There was always something going on
I was busier then a blind cat watching three mouse holes.
I drank coffee like it was going out of style
My favorite coffee mug was held together with duck tape because that's the way I roll.
Anybody have any money for another shot of coffee?
Fall was a special season for me
I had great pleasure in watching the changing of the leaves on the trees
I enjoyed knowing about the weather, but living in Missouri
You just don't know when to rake leaves, shovel snow, or tie an umbrella around your head.
In relation to life, I always said, “This isn't my first rodeo.”
I loved my family and friends.
Remember me as a generous, funny, and kind-hearted man who loved Nutty Bars.
I will leave you with this: You have a good day and a healthy one, and I love my two beautiful daughters.
