Joanne Joy Potter, 80, passed away July 27, 2014. Visitation will be from 11:30AM – 12 PM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Floral Hills Funeral Home with services beginning at 12. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Joanne was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and mother. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, George Eugene Potter in 2000. Survivors include six daughters, Susan Carty, Georgiana Clark, Vicky Doerr, Carrie Ramsey, Patricia Boudreaux and Sharon Tuley; two sisters, Virginia Taylor and Rosemary Lewis; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Our condolences, love and prayers to your family. We were sad to hear the news of Aunt Joanne's passing. Uncle George will be happy to be united again with this wonderful woman. Thank you Carrie for letting Mom know - she loves that you stay in contact with her.
