JOSEPH R. CASTRIANNI

1928 - 2016

Joseph R. Castrianni, 88, beloved uncle and cousin, entered into eternal rest with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at his home in Aventura, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 911 Missouri Ave., KCMO 64106, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial immediately following at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery. Born on February 5, 1928 in Kansas City, Joe was the youngest of five children born to Ross and Antonina (Giordano) Castrianni. After completing high school, Joe joined the US Navy in 1946 and was stationed in San Diego and then the Florida Naval Base. At the end of his military service, he moved to New York, where he was employed as Vice President of the American Marketing Division of Sharp Electronics. He had a very successful business career, introducing the first plain paper copier and facsimile unit to the US market. Upon retiring, Joe moved to Miami, FL where he resided until his passing. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters- in-law, Carl & Grace Castrianni, Christopher & Kathryn Castrianni, Salvatore Castrianni; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen & Frank Evans. He is survived by sister-in-law, Delores Castrianni; nephews, Ron Castrianni, Ross (Karen) Castrianni, Dennis (Judi) Evans, and Carl (Judy) Castrianni; nieces, Anita (Rene') Yanes, and Jan Evans; several cousins; and great-nephews and nieces.
