Shaun has always been an active person. As a young boy, he went through 2 Big Wheels as he and his pal, Glen, rode up and down our driveways and the alley. We were in Dallas at the time and they could ride almost year round.

While living in California he played league baseball and soccer. Daily swimming was easy with so many pools - he would scare me speechless with his diving off of the back retaining wall into our pool. If it could be done, he would do it.

In California, his younger sister, Heidi, died suddenly of a rare form of cancer. And after this Shaun, Kimberly (his sister) and I were baptized to signify that we had accepted Christ as our Savior. Our family realized that life is more than what happens here on earth.

We moved to Lee's Summit, Missouri when Shaun was in seventh grade. He adjusted well - was on the tennis team (they went to state). And he was on our church basketball team. They were very competitive and he thought of these guys as close friends.

He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in economics -
shortly after he moved to Sioux Falls to be close to Mom and Dad.

He started working for Biomet (Rolf Medical) and loved the challenge of this job. He could amaze an audience at the table with surgery stories and people could see how devoted he was. We were so proud of him and glad he loved his work.

His daughter, Brianna, is a sweetheart and deals with her own challenge, Crohn's Disease. She takes medications daily and has to watch her diet as well. But she's a trooper and never complains. We love her so much and pray that she remembers her Dad and becomes a strong Christian young lady.

Don and Madelyn, I miss you guys. I'm so sorry for this whole thing. I will pray for peace. It's what got me by.

My Dad was an amazing father, he was a hard worker, and devoted his life to me. He will always love the Miziou Tigers, and his favorite sport golf. My dad dreamed of having a hole in one, so i gave him a couple of quarters to spend on some golf balls in heaven. My dad really loved my mom, Ginger Baumberger, he was so disappointed she wanted a divorce, but he made it through it just like my mom did. I will always miss my dad as so will you! Right now who ever is reading this, he will stay in our lives forever and never leave our side. Now my dad is an angel and is looking after all of us. God be with all of you who are going through a hard time.

I will miss the golf games we enjoyed. Shaun was my friend, for that I thank him for. Go in peace my friend.
