I met Bud at the Liberty Price Chopper about seven years ago. We chatted for a bit in one of the aisles, and a couple weeks later my 8-month-old son and I visited him at his home. We enjoyed some pumpkin pie that I had made, and he shared stories with us.

I believe we exchanged a letter or two after his move to WA.

In that brief time of visiting with Bud at the store and his home, I benefitted from his joy, passion for life, and wisdom. I'm grateful our paths crossed. I'm confident Bud's legacy will live on in the lives of his family and close friends.

Blessings to you,
Erin

I can't remember a time not knowing Bud. Between my early years at the Fort Osage Muzzle Loaders range, and the years we spent together at RMM events, it seems he was always there, as sure as the smoke and fire. Bud was the first real blacksmith I ever knew, and I have cherished the feast gear and cook set he made for me all those years ago. Bud was a quiet, kind, loving individual, but always ready to turn on that wonderful grin and say something to make us all explode with laughter as we sat around the evening fire. As much as he will be missed here, there are lots of 'skinners over on the other side, welcoming him there. I'm sure Dad was one of the first to stick out a hand and with a broad grin say "Welcome Brother!"

My thoughts and prayers are with you all,

Ramona Pieron

We have many special memories of "Uncle" Bud, both from rendezvous and at his cabin and forge. We are proud to have known him and Ruby. Rick and Cindy Asher, Hamilton MO

Dean and Dale
I've known Bud since Dean and I were in Liberty HS together. During those years while Dean and I became great friends I thought of Bud and Ruby as my second set of parents. That continued on as Dean wed my sister and we spent so many good times together over the past 30 years. We lost Ruby some years ago and now Bud is gone, but neither he nor Ruby will ever be forgotten. Our deepest sympathies, Gary and Cindy Marshall
