William A. "Dub" Feagan, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. The Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 North Fourth St., KCK. Burial with military honors in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. Sixth St., KCK. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 10200 W. 75th St., Shawnee Mission, KS 66204. William was born March 26, 1923, in Wallace, Mo., to William B. and Mary Juanita (Keller) Feagan. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army and served four years in the Navy as well. In 1949 he married Mary L. Vesel, who passed away in 1997 and they had three loving children who survive, Patty (John) Risalvato, Paul P. (Mary Lou Kovac) Feagan, and Jody (Larry) Malotte. William worked at Safeway as a butcher for over 15 years, and for the Unified Government as a Maintenance Supervisor 20 years, and as a supervisor at the Kansas City, Kan., Port Authority until retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Strawberry Hill Post #7026 and the Missouri Order of Cooties. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Glen, Gene and Clifford Feagan. Dub was a great guy that always had a pleasant commment and a smile for all he met. I so enjoyed knowing him. My sympathy to all of his family.

From a past member of Post 7026 Strawberry Hill. Sorry for the loss of Dub, he was a super person. God bless him and all the family. A man that served his country in WWII and won the war. I had five Uncles in that war also and they were all super men to me.
