Cammy was a close friend of mine for 8 years. I taught him how to surf and he taught me to work hard at your God given talent and other life long lessons. I cherish all of the great times including when I stayed at his home in Texas when he played again for the Astros in 1999. He will never be forgotten. I am in contact with his 3 daughters to make sure his daddys girls are doing well via social media. He impacted my life in a positive way and helped me be who I am today in personal and business. Forever grateful to him.

Something today caused me to think of you, to look into you more, to read the stories of your journey. It brought so many fond memories of watching you in the Dome as a child. I was excited when you came back to Houston and always hoped the best for you. You were incredible. Thank you. I hope you are at peace now, you are forever remembered and revered by your fans. Thank you for waving at me outside of the Dome one night after the game, you were getting into your big Ford truck, meant a lot to a young boy, and is a great memory 25 years later.
