I had the honor of meeting Magic Slim twice when he performed at Callahan's in Michigan in 2011 and 2012. He was a fabulous performer and a warm and down to earth man. He played "Kansas City" by special request for my fiance and me to dance to, and it is a special memory that I will forever treasure. My condolences to the family of Magic Slim. He will be missed.

The world is full of things to makes us sad, things that bite to the core of who we are and when we hear it in the form of a song especially the blues we know that felling. The bible teaches us how to overcome sadness and to have a joy beyond anything we could image. It gives us the hope to live in a time when sadness and sorrow will be a thing of the pass.
