I can't think our Father God enough for letting me be a part of this great man of God's life. I still remember the first day we met at BBC in 1977. It was the day that would change our lives. We became members and continued under his leadership until he retired. I was broken hearted when he left, but all the things I learned from him still burn in my heart today. He was the most loving and compassionate man I have ever known. He never met a stranger. His door was always open and his heart was always ready to listen. He had a big heart for missions, and I had the priviledge of going with him and Nora Lee on one of them to Venezeula. Wow! It was so exciting. Well, ther are so many other things I could say, but it would take a book. In closing I want to say, Bro. Hoge loved the Lord with all his heart and it was evident. He served Him and Him alone and although he retired from BBC, he never retired from preaching the gospel. He loved doing that more than anything. He didn't have to be in a pulpit, he taught it with his life. I loved this man and I will miss him so much. I didn't get to see him a lot but it was always comforting to know he was there. It hurts so much to know he has gone. BUT, that is my flesh talking, for I know he is with the God of this universe, the one he loved and served all his life and one day we who are in Christ will see him again and have a great reunion celebrating around God's throne. What a day that will be, Praise the Lord. Nora Lee and family may God' peace fill your hearts during this time and give you strength to keep fighting the fight until He comes to take us home too. I love you all very much.
