Words can not express the deepest sympathy that we have for the Beach Family. They have meant so much in the lives of The Booth Family. Beattyville has truly lost it's greatest American Hero. Rest On Peace General Beach

I will never forget how Mr. Beach took a chance on me in 1983 and personally gave me a job at the bank. During my tenure at Peoples Exchange Bank, Mr. Beach would teach me many things, unbeknown to him. Thankfully, just this year, I had the opportunity to sit down with Mr. Beach and tell him just how thankful I was to him for everything he had taught me. He was a wonderful man, a true hero in every sense of the word, and a community spirit that will never be replaced. Only God can arrange a man of this magnitude to be born on the 4th of July and to reach heaven on Veteran's Day. Much love and prayers to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Beach family. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Beach via my friend, the late Dr. C.V. Cooper, Jr. They had great respect for each other.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Beach family. A true southern gentleman respected by all who knew him. I had the pleasure of serving with him as a member of the 100th Division. He was definitely a role model to me and others in his command. His influence in the state will be greatly missed.

I served with General Beach at Fort Chaffee during the Berlin Crisis. He and my father, E. L. Hughes, were the closest of friends with great respect for each other. I still have the letter Mr. Beach wrote to my father upon hearing of his retirement. Dad cherished that letter. I knew him better during the later years and found him to be a most honorable man.

As the farm mortgage representative of Equitable Life Assurance Society in the 1950's and 60's, I frequently traveled Eastern Kentucky. When near Beatyville I made a point of calling on Charles Beach. I loved his friendliness, business experience, comand of the situation, and ability to "get things done". Thanks for the memories General Beach!
