Mr. Beach always held a special place in my heart. At one time I was in awe and a bit fearful of this larger than life man who led such a busy, seemingly hectic life, until I had the good fortune to fill in for Edna Grace for a few weeks while she recovered from surgery many years ago. I had the opportunity to discover the other side of this busy man who always had time to keep up with the lives of others in the community and who would personally dictate and sign letters of sympathy or congratulations. This amidst his very busy schedule. And always a word of hello when we would meet in the bank.
He is the only person that I allowed to address me as "Patricia". :)
Mr Beach will be greatly missed for all of his accomplishments and kindnesses.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends. May God bless and comfort. Truly a very special Kentuckian. Always worked to make life better for others. A man who was a natural born leader.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of one of Kentucky's greatest.
Charles Beach, Jr. was cousin to my late husband G.D.Hieronymus and we have all had the greatest respect for General Beach. What a man of sincerity, integrity and honor!
The Hieronymus family as well as the Beach's will miss him greatly.
I will always remember him coming in the rain to G.D.'s visitation almost three years ago in Somerset. And the three hugs, too that I received that night.
Yes, there was a softer side.
Thank you Lord for letting us be a small part of this man's life.

sincerely,
Rose Hieronymus, Danville, KY
