Beach Family

General Beach was a gentleman, leader and giver in every aspect of his life. I feel lucky to have known such a man an will forever cherish the conversations and dinners we had. My thoughts are with you all through this difficult time.

Kentucky has lost a great asset. To work with and talk to the General about progress in Eastern Kentucky was always rewarding. My condolences to Charlie and the family.

Beattyville is already missing a vital link. My family truly appreciates the ties of our small town. My grandfather, Clay Hobbs, held Charles Jr. in high esteem. I can remember bringing deposits from his store at St. Helens to People's Exchange with my grandmother when I was but a small child. It was a special place because of the special people. Our thoughts are with the family in this time of sorrowing.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and know Mr. Beach through my aunt, Georgia Lou Burch. I have heard many wonderful stories and know of his concern and thoughtfulness to others from Lucian, Georgia Lou, and General's friendship of many years. Your family and the community has lost a wonderful man. Again, we will hold you in our prayers!

So saddened to hear of your loss. May you be touched this day by a loving God Who has given to us life so abundantly. May you feel His peace, comfort and love.

TO THE CHARLES BEACH Jr. FAMILY, WE'RE SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT CHARLES, HE WAS A WONDERFUL, DEDICATED AND ACTIVITY PERSON! ALTHOUGH YOU ALL PROBABLT DON'T KNOW ME BUT WHEN I WAS A YOUNG KID I CAN REMEMBER MY MOM AND DAD HAVING CONVERSATIONS ABOUT HIS PARENTS, CHARLES Sr. AND NANCY AND WHAT A WONDERFUL FAMILY HE HAD! BACK IN THE '50's, THEY CAME TO OUR CHURCH AND VISITED WITH US BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER THEIR FIRST NAMES. CHAROLINE WAS A VERY NICE LADY AND I THINK SHE WAS A SHUMATE AND ALSO HAD A NIECE WHO MARRIED PETER J. FLAHERTY Jr. I ATTENDED SCHOOL WITH THEIR SON PETER JIM FLAHERTY lll, HE WAS A COUPLE OF YEARS BEHIND ME AND WAS A VERY FINE BOY! CHARLES Jr. WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE! HE DID A LOT FOR BEATTYVILLE.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE!
LOVE, RICHARD AND RUBY LYNCH, THE SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW OF DOC AND TIBBY LYNCH

General Beach was the finest man I knew. We served together on the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati Board. I learned from him. A truly great man who I shall never forget.

I am privileged to count myself among the many that called General Beach a friend. He was truly one of a kind. When he hugged you, you knew you were getting hugged!!! I will miss him more than words can say.

Dear Beach Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr Beach. We grew up hearing beautiful stories of your family from my wonderful uncle, Glenn Adkins...I know he considered you to be as close as family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
