General Beach was very dear to me; he was a fellow officer, churchman, friend, and more. I will miss our occasional chats in his office over matters of the day. I look forward to the time when we will be physically with him again, for Jesus said ... "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live", and this truth Charlie held--heart and soul. Standing by Sir!

I consider it an honor and a priviledge to have known Mr. Beach. I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of his death. Mr. Beach was a leader that molded many lives. He embodied the true definitions of honor and integrity. He will be truely missed. Deepest sympathy to his family.

The news of his death has deeply saddened me. He was a true friend to my parents and myself. When I learned that I was about to deploy he came to the Post Office and invited me to his office for a chat. Our conversation was about leaving your family. He ended our conversation by informing me that if my wife or kids needed anything to contact him and gave me his home number. At that point I felt the true meaning of comrad in arms and the love he shared for me. While deployed he sent me cards and notes checking on me. He will be truely missed by not only may family but the nation as well. Thank you so much General Beach

To lose our friend Charlie, just two months after losing my husband and Charlie's Brother Rat, is a very sad day indeed. What a wonderful, kind and lovable guy, he will be greatly missed. On the bright side, is the fact that they are together again leading the Heavenly Corps of Keydets. My sincere condolences to Charlie lll and his family. Fondly, Barbara Dominick (Col. D. Clinton Dominick lll VMI class of '40)
