I met Darren when he first started at Toyota in the Paint shop--we were is same group. Then my husband got to know him in Bodyweld. We have prayed for Darren and your family ever since the first diagnosis. So sorry for your loss but we know he fought it with all he had.

I met Darren in 2010 at the Markey Cancer Center as we both had surgery on the same day. I had my left kidney removed due to a cancerous tumor in my kidney, Darren had surgery to remove part of his pancreas. It just so happened that they got us up to take a post surgery walk at the same time. I was going down the hall as he was coming up the hall, I looked at him and he at me. We both stopped without a word and embraced and wept and that started a wonderful friendship i will never forget. My cancer has spread to my lungs and i am still taking treatments to this day. No matter how bad a day i was having i could call on Darren for words of strength and comfort he will never know how much he helped me on days i thought i couldnt go on. I will truely miss my friend and brother in this fight against this horrible disease. I feel blessed to have known him and call him my brother.
