May the Almighty God bless you and your family during this time of grief and sorrow while remembering that he invites us to…“throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.” 1 Pet 5:7
Susan I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was always kind to my family and was a good man. Your family will be in my prayers. Karen Jones Ackinson
Truman Wells and his late brother Bruce of Shelbyville dropped out of high school to serve our country during World War 2. It was my honor to plan the celebration for the Shelby County Board of Education in 2009 to award both men a diploma through the Department of Veteran Affairs. Each still had the small New Testament that was signed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Truman was also excited because his grandson was graduating from Anderson County High School that same year. He and Lois have remained dear friends of mine since that time. What a man! What a woman! What fond memories!
Sorry to read of Truman's passing. He was a special friend for many years and we treasure our great memories of Truman and Lois and their special family. The family is in our thoughts and prayers. C..M. And Betty Ann Gash-Shewmaker
