We did not know Officer Durman, but our hearts go out to his family and friends. We know he will be missed by a lot of people who knew and loved him..
I lost my uncle (he was like my second dad) a year ago on easter and I mourn for him today.. My heart aches to see him and talk to him just one more time but i know that isn't possible. I saw this poem and it helps me I hope it helps you too..
When I'm gone from your side, And all your tears have been dried ...
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;I am the diamond glints on snow;
I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.I am the soft star that shines at night.
And when you stroll in the evening hours,
And smell the aroma of beautiful flowers;
There'll be no need to sob and cry ...
I am not there, I did not die!
He lives with Jesus now, and I hope the good Lord will ease the pain in your hearts. I hope that knowing how many lives he touched even though a lot of people never met him but still send you love and respect..
Bryan will be everwhere you look, in everything you see and everything you do, he will be there as long as he lives in your hearts and memories..
May the good Lord wrap you in his arms and hold you near to ease your grief and all your fears..
