She was my 6th grade teacher at Lansdowne Elementary and one of my favorites! She was a wonderful person and will be missed.

"Aunt Joan" to me and my sisters was the longtime friend and companion to our Great Aunt Marie (Ree-Ree to us) and a staple of our childhood. We didn't stay in touch with her as we ought to have after Aunt Ree-Ree passed away, 20 years ago now. We certainly have nothing but fond and happy memories of our time with her, though.

She was my teacher at Glendover. My condolences.

Incredible teacher who influenced the lives of thousands of children, and my occasional dinner partner along with Jack, Nancy and Michele. I will miss her wit and the laughter we shared at those dinners. I will never forget when she dressed as the Statue of Liberty for our multi-cultural fair at Lansdowne. The dear lady always held her torch high.
