Mr. Owens exuded class. He was always a gentleman and exhibited professional characteristics that I try to emulate today. God's blessings on all the family.

Johnny was not only a great competitor in Golf and Life, but always a Gentleman! If you knew him, you knew truly the essence of Golf!

I am certain that Johnny did not remember me but as a young caddy at The Lexington Country Club in 1959 for some reason Johnny liked the way I caddied for him and he would often come to my home and pick me up and then bring me back home after he played ,, I knew then that Johnny was a remarkable man as well as a great player, I remember comparing Johnny to Bobby Jones and since I walked the fairways with him and watched him play the course with a masters touch,, I assumed he would make his mark as a Pro and I know if he had chosen that road he would have no doubt had been as well known today as Arnold Palmer and the other great Golfers of that Great Area,,, I am very sad to hear of his passing
