John James Loughrin has just earned a B.A. in History/Math and may take her advice to seek a Law degree as she had desired before deciding to support her late husband, Dr. John James Loughrin toward his medical degree. I know she would have made an excellent attorney representing the less privileged of our society. I always enjoyed our long political discussions and of course we always agreed with the democratic ideals. My Aunt Betty Wigglesworth was also a codebreaker during WWII and the 1st female graduate of Law at U.K. and truly enjoyed her company. My mother, Linda Gilbert, misses their daily calls and also shared stories of being a family Dr.'s wife and and raising a large family. (their eldest and youngest being the same ages).

Catalpa Was such a great place to grow up. Mrs. Loughrin was always such a part of it.

I am so thankful I had the chance to reconnect with Mrs.Loughrin again at LCP. She was an outstanding third grade teacher and I was lucky enough to get to know her as the interesting, caring women she was. I loved hearing her stories and just hanging out with her. I will miss her everyday.
